Basic Braid

1. Basic 3 Strand Braid

Types of braids: the most basic braid is a 3 strands braid. The most introductory of lacings, the simple 3 plait is one hairstyle that each one of us has grown up with. It’s also presumably the first hairstyle you learned to do all by yourself.

Styling 3 Strand Braid

Brush out the hair without any knots in your hair. Divide your hair into 3 equal sections. Flip the left strand over the middle strand. Now, flip the right strand over the middle strand.

Keep repeating it by flipping the left and right strands of hair over the middle section until you have pleated till the end. Secure the ends with a hair elastic.

The French plait hairstyle is the best way to overcome the heat in the summer as it will not let any of your hair strand fall on your face. It also is the perfect hairstyle for professionals or for students. It may take you a little bit of practice to get the hang of French lacing, but once you do, it’ll take you lower than 5 twinkles to do it impeccably.

French Braid Styling

Make sure to brush everything so that there are no knots remaining. Pick up the frontal section of your hair and divide it into 3 bunches. Simply Pleat it in a sew. From next sew, add a 2 inch section of hair from outside the plait to each side, then  flip it over the middle strand of the plait.

Once your French plait has reached the nape of your neck and you’ve run out of hair to add to it, simply pleat the rest of hair with the rubber band.
